Twenty years ago, JANE PARKER, 30s (Cynthia Preston) had a wonderful life. That was short-lived, however, when she lost her twin brother Sean to suicide after his girlfriend KATHERINE MORRISON (Alexandra Paul) broke up with him. Heartbroken over the loss of her son, Jane’s mother FLORENCE, 60s, never quite recovered from the tragedy and her health has been deteriorating ever since. For the last two decades, Jane has lived at home, taking care of her motherthe only person she has left in the worldand never forgot that Katherine Morrison was to blame for the downward turn in the lives of her and her mother. Faced with the possibility that her father, CAMERON MORRISON, 50s, will have to close down the paper manufacturing plant in the town where she was raised, Katherine is determined to save it. Cameron, who has since moved his multi-business empire to Missouri, sees only the mill’s waning profits, but to Katherine, the plant and the people who have spent their lives working there mean much more. Armed with a proposal that she must convince the city council to approve in order to save the plant, Katherine heads back to Granson, Pennsylvania, and sees Jane for the first time in years. With the help of the regional office manager, JIM FREELY, Katherine begins the arduous task of restructuring the existing mill to make it more efficient. But Jane’s focus is not on the mill. For more than half of Jane’s life she’s been waiting to make Katherine pay for what she did to Sean, and the time has finally come. Jane, who took the job as Human Resources Manager at Morrison Mills five years ago to keep the fiery hatred she had for Katherine alive, begins to sabotage everything Katherine does. At first, she simply leaks false information to the local newspaper to cause a stir, but when Katherine manages to control the damage, Jane’s forced to up the stakes. Once the list of employees that will have to be laid off during the restructure is final, Jane prematurely emails the list to the entire company, making it appear that a disgruntled employee named RON WHITMAN is to blame. Again, Katherine handles the setback and presses onward with her plan. Worried that Katherine may actually succeed in saving the company and come out smelling like a rose, Jane locates Katherine’s contact on the city council, COUNCILMAN PORTER, and blackmails him into making sure the proposal won’t be passed in enough time. With the councilman in her pocket, it appears that Jane’s sabotage may very well work… That is until Jim begins to suspect that it wasn’t Ron Whitman that sent the email and it must be somebody else in the company. Realizing that Jim’s investigation could lead to her exposure, Jane attempts to convince him that the offender was Ron after all. When Jim doesn’t buy her story, she murders Jim. She then continues on a deadly course of revenge against the woman she blames for ruining everythingKatherine.
